Pyper Hollis (Kew) competed this week in the prestigious Srixon International in the Hunter Valley, where Avondale’s June Song cruised to victory. The event was played at the Cessnock Golf Club.

June Song led from start to finish in the Girls Division, with the 14 year old claiming her first major JNJG victory after a final round 78 to finish the tournament at 10 over par. The final margin was six shots, with West Australian Madison Hinson-Tolchard playing consistent golf all week to finish second. NSW Junior Girls Champion Belinda Ji (Concord) couldn’t quite make it back to back major titles, finishing in third place after a final round 75. Piper Stubbs made it a great week for Victorian 13 year olds, joining Nathan Page in winning the 13 Years Division after a final round 77. It was good to see international success in the Girls 12 Years and Under Division, with Darae Chung (NZ) winning for the first time on the JNJG Tour. There was also a name to keep an eye on for the future, with Lili Kremmer (Macquarie Links) dominating the Nett Division, closing with a final round 61 to finish at 17 under par.
